“We were 4 old Ladies from Windhoek and stayed 2 nights and 2 wonderful days. The guide Koos was very knowledgable and friendly, as the whole team, management and staff. The food was super, the only thing was that it was very hot, but what do you expect in November.”
“Awesome place to visit, the staff and management were so accommodating, hospitable and thoughtful. An amazing venue to relax and learn about the Kalahari while being looked after by proud and dedicated staff and guides , generous and excellent food which is remarkable in such a remote location , the lodge is sited spectacularly and one is able to explore the dunes to learn about life in Kalahari. highly recommended.”
“A home away from home, WOW, what an experience it was. Great service, good food, warm hospitality. Being in the outdoors away from the modernity’s of life touches the soul! Would love to come visit again, this time with my family.”
“Absolutely excellent experience in a completely peaceful and blissful environment. The staff and management are incredibly friendly and professional. Was delightfully relaxing and beautiful scenery with excellent weather. Will definitely recommend this to all my friends and family as it was a brilliant life experience.”
“The lodge is perfectly situated overlooking a salt pan where animals meet day and night. We enjoyed two great bushwalks with Koos and John, a night drive and a sundowner drive. We even saw six mighty lions passing the lodge so close that you could touch them… Food was fantastic and comfort regarding the very remote area very good. We‘ll surely return!”
“We were so impressed with the whole thing we can hardly place one more than another. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and the guide we had really knew his stuff .We had a glorious sundowner on 2 stools brought out into the dunes from nowhere and that was amazing.A large lioness right in the middle of the camp the last morning was a great highlight. Thank you so much for such a glorious stay”
“I absolutely loved this place and would go back in a heart beat! The setting was magnificent and the guides and staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. I had always wanted to go to the Kalahari Desert and loved it all. We went with Kiboko Tours and couldn’t have been happier with their choice.”
“We stayed at !Xaus Lodge for 2Ns. Loved the rustic luxury look & feel of the property. Each cottages is like traditional South African hut and has all regular amenities. The private wooden deck to each cottage overlooks massive salt-pan. Feel the heat of pure desert, but you can spend hours on this deck. Pack binoculars to spot various birds and stray wildlife that walks up to the salt-pan in search of salt and in hope of some water.” Read More.
“It’s worth the time and ride to reach it, but once you get there … It’s “special” in many ways, you ‘ll never forget it Far away from everything, lost in the desert. But all you need and want is there”
“Our second stay in this unique and picturesque place. Very remote, very quiet, very scenic. Comfortable chalets, good food, friendly staff. Interesting morning walk with John, incredible lion and cheetahs’ sightings thanks to our skilled local guides, romantic evening under a stunning starry sky. A special thank to Richard and Toby for their dedication, professionalism, and generosity. They truly know how to share their love of this place, and make this second stay even more pleasant than the first one”
“My boyfriend and I spent 4 days at Xaus Lodge and loved every minute of it, from the early morning dune walks to getting into bed with hot water bottles at night! We were warmly welcome by Anthony who spent time telling us all about the fascinating background of the lodge and the land before going through our comprehensive itinerary. Our days were a perfect mix of activities and time to relax in the beautiful setting overlooking the dunes and watching animals from the sun deck. The food was fabulous and the staff were friendly and attentive the whole time.”
“Lovely lodge a few lions and hyena but that part of the world is about space, stars, big vista’s and all the small things that makes the arid dunes of the kalahari. Rooms comfortable, food great. The guides are knowledgeable especially John. All in all a feel good place”
