Two words, “breathless beauty”! No photos or websites can show the absolute sheer magnificence of the Kgalagadi Transfronteir Park and its beautiful wonders.
Firstly, we would like to thank the Intrepid Explorer Magazine for this absolutely fantastic prize that we won. A big thank you to Transfronteir Parks Destinations and all the staff at !Xaus Lodge that made this a most memorable five day stay. Richard, the lodge manager, is one of the best managers we have come across. Richard was always willing to help and imparted knowledge of the desert, the fauna and flora. Richard’s knowledge of the stars was impressive.
A special thank you to both Koosie and Ousus for making our adventure so thrilling with all of their brilliant knowledge and guiding excellence. They taught and showed us things that we would never have noticed. One thing, never let Koosie make you taste the Gemsbok Cucumber root …AAAAAAGGGHHHH… that is a taste that we will never forget.
The food was heavenly. Compliments to the chefs! (We now weigh 5 kg more!) We had the time of our lives, THANK YOU, the only horrible thing about it was, saying good bye…….
